Indoor Cycle Trainer Classes

Mountain to Road Cycles run indoor cycle trainer classes from April to September for an alternative winter training programme. This is available to any teenager or adult with a mountain or road bike and an indoor trainer.

The price is $12 per class or $10 for concession card purchased from Callum at the shop. Display of our indoor range of Cycle trainers are in store with personal set up and demonstration available by appointment.

Classes run every Wednesday starting at 6pm-7:15pm at the store - Rogers Place, Te Awamutu, 3800.


Shop Rides

Rides leave from the shop every Saturday morning at 9am, weather permitting.

There is a cross section of riders so there will be a group for everyone.

The shop rides vary from 30-40km around the local area, including Puahue, Pirongia, Pokuru circuits.

Come along and ride with other passionate cyclists.

Rotorua Moonride

10 & 11 March 2017

The iconic Moonride will be held at the Waipa Mountain Bike Area off State Highway 5 and use the stunning Whakarewarewa Forest trails. Open to everyone with a bike!
There are three event options:

  • 24 hour - for teams of 4 or 5 and solo riders
  • 12 hour - for teams of 4 or 5 and solo riders
  • 6 hour - for teams of 2 to 5 and solo riders.

Tokoroa Day Night Thriller

The 2017 Day Night Thriller, will be held at the Cougar Mountain Bike Park in Tokoroa October.

Individuals and teams complete an 7km, 20-30 minute circuit which has been specifically designed for the event to cater for riders of all ability levels. The off road track includes fast open park grounds, awesome downhill, pine needle covered forest tracks, challenging single tracks, this Mountain Bike event is based at Cougar Park.

Event Options: Shop Teams will be entered this year, register at Mountain to Road Cycles

  • 12 hour event – 10am to 10pm – Solo riders or teams of 2 - 5
  • 6 hour event – 10am to 4pm – Solo riders or teams of 2 - 5
  • 3 hour event – 1pm to 4pm – Solo riders.
